CAFRA Veterinaria

Desktop application for veterinary management

Context

CAFRA Veterinaria is a desktop application developed to modernize the management of veterinary clinics. Built with Tauri, it combines the flexibility of React with the native performance of Rust, creating a robust solution that works without an internet connection. The project was born from the need for a reliable, fast and secure system that does not depend on web connectivity.

Goal

To create a complete desktop application that allows veterinary clinics to manage all their operations offline. The goal is to provide a reliable tool that works regardless of internet connectivity, with secure local storage and native performance. The application aims to be the definitive solution for clinics that need a robust, self-contained system.

Tauri + React Architecture

The application uses Tauri as its main framework, combining a React frontend with a Rust backend. This hybrid architecture offers the best of both worlds: the flexibility and development speed of React for the interface, and the security and performance of Rust for system operations. SQLite provides a robust and reliable local database.

Main Features

A complete offline management system that includes: client and pet registration with validations, an appointment calendar, and a medical consultation system with full history.

Modern User Interface

Built with React and Tailwind CSS, the interface combines a modern look with functionality. It uses shadcn/ui for consistent, professional components. The design is fully responsive within the application window, adapting to different screen sizes. The user experience is smooth and native, without the typical limitations of web applications.
